Συγκλονίζει η ανάρτηση της Evangeline Lilly για την πυρκαγιά στον Αμαζόνιο (photo)

Φωτογραφία από το τροπικό δάσος του Αμαζονίου, στο οποίο φέτος σημειώθηκε ρεκόρ πυρκαγιών, ανέβασε στο Instagram το πρωί της Πέμπτης (ώρα Ελλάδας) η Evangeline Lilly, που προσπάθησε να ευαισθητοποιήσει τους followers της με το κείμενο που έγραψε στη λεζάντα.

Η γνωστή Katherine 'Kate' Austen του Lost, που συμμετείχε και στο «Avengers: Endgame», το οποίο ξεπέρασε το «Avatar» στο παγκόσμιο box office όλων των εποχών, αναφέρει στην ανάρτησή της:

«Το τροπικό δάσος του Αμαζονίου της Βραζιλίας φλέγεται εδώ και 16 ημέρες. Κανείς δεν μιλάει γι' αυτό. Ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά οικοσυστήματα στη γη καίγεται. Είμαι λυπημένη, η καρδιά μου "σπάει" και είμαι... θυμωμένη. Πώς αφήσαμε τα πράγματα να φτάσουν σ' αυτό το σημείο;».

Και προσθέτει, μεταξύ άλλων, πετώντας τα «καρφιά» της στον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ: 

«Το τροπικό δάσος του Αμαζονίου της Βραζιλίας καίγεται, αλλά ο πρόεδρός μας δεν ενδιαφέρεται. Επίσης, δεν πιστεύει στην κλιματική αλλαγή. Κοιτάζει το δάσος και βλέπει... χρήματα. Επιτρέψτε μου να πω κάτι: Δεν μπορείτε να φάτε τα χρήματα. Δεν μπορείτε να ανασάνετε χρήματα.

Αυτό που συμβαίνει σήμερα θα έχει αντίκτυπο σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο τα επόμενα χρόνια.

Όταν κοπεί το τελευταίο δέντρο, φαγωθεί το τελευταίο ψάρι και μολυνθεί το τελευταίο ρεύμα (νερού), τότε θα συνειδητοποιήσετε ότι δεν μπορείτε να φάτε τα χρήματα.»

One of the most important ecosystems on earth is burning. I'm sad, my heart is broken and I'm...angry. How did we let things get this far? When the human race decided that this absurd hunger for power, for having, for taking, for more... was worth thousand of lives and species? How we, as human beings, with hearts and the ability to think let things get so out of our hands? Brazil's Amazon rainforest is burning but our president couldn't care less. He also doesn't believe in climate change. He looks at the forest and sees...money. Let me tell something: YOU CANNOT EAT MONEY. YOU CANNOT BREATH MONEY. The Amazon rainforest devastation is growing every single day. You can't rebuild it from one day to another. What is happening today will have an impact on the entire world for years and years to come. Is it worth it? Was it worth? Brazil's Amazon rainforest is burning I'm crying My tears can't stop the fire. I'm watching it burns. What have we done? . . The fire has been happening for 16 days now and has already impacted the air quality in a lot of other states in Brazil and the fire is heading to other states and countries.
